1. Who We Are

Human Essential Assessment ("we", "us", "our") is operated by MindMagine Sdn. Bhd., based in Malaysia. We are the data controller for any personal information collected through this website at www.human-essential.com.

2. What We Collect

When you join our waitlist, we collect:

• Email address - provided by you voluntarily
• Timestamp - the date and time of your submission
• Referral source - the page you came from (if available)
• reCAPTCHA score - a bot-detection score generated by Google reCAPTCHA v3

We do not collect your name, phone number, payment information, or any other personal data at this stage.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your email address solely to:

• Send you one notification email when Human Essential Assessment officially launches
• Respond to any enquiries you send us directly

We will not send you marketing emails, newsletters, or any other communications without your explicit consent.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, given when you voluntarily submit your email address to join our waitlist. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at hello@human-essential.com.

This policy is designed to comply with applicable data protection laws including:

• Malaysia - Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA)
• Philippines - Data Privacy Act 2012
• Thailand - Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA 2019)
• Japan - Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI, amended 2022)

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in Google Cloud Firestore, hosted in the Asia Southeast region (Singapore). Google Cloud maintains ISO 27001, SOC 2, and SOC 3 certifications.

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties except:

• Google Cloud - for secure data storage (processor only, not a data controller)
• Google reCAPTCHA - for bot detection (subject to Google's Privacy Policy)
• Legal obligation - if required by law, court order, or governmental authority

7. Data Retention

We will retain your email address until one of the following occurs:

• You request deletion of your data
• We have sent the launch notification email and a reasonable period has passed
• 12 months have elapsed with no product launch

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you have the right to:

• Access - request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction - request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion - request deletion of your data at any time
• Withdrawal of consent - unsubscribe or opt out at any time
• Portability - request your data in a portable format
• Objection - object to processing of your personal data

9. Cookies

This website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Google reCAPTCHA may set a cookie as part of its bot-detection functionality. We do not use any analytics cookies at this stage.

10. Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us immediately at hello@human-essential.com.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Section 2: Assessment

2.1 What We Collect During an Assessment Session

The assessment processes the following personal data:

• Your occupational role description (open text, Question 1)
• Your self-perception reflections (open text, Questions 2a and 2b)
• Your responses across four assessment modules (open text and selection responses)
• A psychological profile derived from your responses

All data is linked to a pseudonymous session key. It is not connected to your name or email address during the assessment itself.

2.2 Legal Basis

We process this data on the basis of your explicit consent, given at the start of the assessment. Psychological and behavioural assessment data is classified as sensitive personal information under the laws of the Philippines, Thailand, and Japan. We treat it as sensitive across all jurisdictions.

2.3 Where Your Data Is Stored

Assessment data is stored on servers located in Singapore (Google Cloud Platform, asia-southeast1 region). If you are completing the assessment from Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, or Japan, your data crosses a national border to reach our servers. By consenting to the assessment, you acknowledge this transfer.

2.4 How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your assessment data only for as long as is needed to deliver your report. Once you have received and viewed your report, all your responses and your report are permanently deleted. We retain anonymised, non-personal monitoring data (no responses, no profile, no session linkage) indefinitely for service improvement.

2.5 Your Right to Deletion

If you would like your data deleted before your report is delivered, email hello@human-essential.com. We will respond within 30 days.
